The Texture of Life

Having just returned from a writing workshop, my brain is swirling with words and images. I’m reflecting on how my photography influences my writing, and vice versa. Lately, I have been focusing on the texture of words, the feel of sounds that make up nouns, verbs, adjectives…their texture in my mouth, on the page, in my heart.

water_rsIs this what I seek in my images? Texture that conjures emotion? Vibration that carries meaning?

mushrooms_rsIs your heart like the flowing water? Or is it more the spongey mushroom? Are your thoughts fluid and cascading as a waterfall? Or are they sharp like blades of grass?

Tell me, do your images match your words?
