Finding Joy

I think it’s safe to say we’re all struggling to find a little joy this holiday season. Everything certainly feels different than years past with so many traditions being set aside. And yet I believe we’re all trying to conjure the magic of the holidays. Our family has been watching movies and listening to music. We’ve been baking and making ornaments. We’ve also been going for drives at night to look for holiday lights and we’ve been delighted by what we’ve found.

The bright lights and music have felt more joyful than usual this year. I think I have a deeper gratitude for them having lived through so much sadness and worry in 2020. The color boosts my spirits.

Both big and tiny trees have been wonderful!

The garlands strung among the backyards have been lovely.

And of course our own tree display makes me smile every night….

Wherever you are this holiday season…

May you be happy…

May you be well…

May you be safe…

May you be peaceful and at ease…

May you find joy….

Wishing you and yours the very best of this holiday season!

  1. These are so glorious! Beautiful and magical. Hope okay to ask what kinds of settings you used for these images and what camera? I would love to experiment a bit like this. Very inspiring!

  2. America’s Christmas lights are always a little extra! I can just imagine how much fun you had taking them! x
