A Walk to Lands End

Let me take you on a walk, a walk along the stunning eastern coast of Aquidneck Island in Newport, Rhode Island. The Cliff Walk is famous for the incredible mansions that line the coast, gorgeous homes mostly built during the Gilded age, owned by the rich and famous. The public-access trail hugs the coast, winding along, revealing its many delights along the way. For me, the delight came from not always knowing what was around the next corner.

I was inspired by the abundance of flowers and plants clinging to the rugged coast, thriving against the wind, rain, and other harsh conditions.

I had to navigate the boulders, taking my time to be safe on the rocks, while stopping to take in the vast beauty around me.

Finally, I made it to Lands End, the southern tip of the island. Here, the ocean seemed to go on forever, blending into the sky.

The walk was incredible, and I feel grateful to have been able to partake in the Beauty offered by that place.
