One thing you should know about me is I always carry my camera with me. I see so many photo ops as I go around doing life and so, so many ideas about what I want or would like to shoot, I just need it to be accessible at all times!

Lately, though, I do not have the time I want or need to stop and shoot, so I end up becoming frustrated about all the images that I have not been able to take. That is probably the main reason why I cannot commit to a 365 project or even a monthly shoot-with-a-prompt challenge. Like I mentioned above, this aggravates me, as I know I would be able to do it if I didn’t have any responsibilities.

However, I have come to terms with this fact, after many years, and I am now simply committed to just photographing what and when I feel like photographing, or simply when I am able to do so. My 2022 album (see some of my faves below) looks a little sparse compared to other years but I am also ok with this. I am happy to enjoy the freedom of not being forced to photograph every day and it also gives me a chance to pause and photograph what I really like or catches my eye.

How about you? Do you take photos every day or is that too much of an obstacle or chore? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I go back and forth. Sometimes I wish I picked up my camera more, and at other moments I love the freedom of picking it up when I see something.

  2. I would love to take pics every day, but a) with a full time office job I don’t get around too much and b) I find where I live not too inspiring. I’ve just been to visit the US, and I found lots of photo ops there (I enjoy the everyday, mundane things that catch your eye, not the typical touristy stuff). What I do not enjoy though is the download & edit part, so it’s probably a good thing I don’t take pics every day πŸ™‚
