I had some time this week all to myself. Unscheduled time is a gift that doesn’t happen often enough. I decided to grab my digital camera and went to the Huntington Gardens for an hour. I didn’t have any ideas about what to shoot, so I thought I’d give myself a little challenge. I put my 100mm lens on and committed to 100 photos before I could go home.
With my camera in hand, I remembered how it helps me find things I didn’t know I was looking for.
I found light.
I found shadows.
I found lines.
I found curves.
Do you ever go out shooting with a challenge? You can do as I did and shoot a particular number of images. Or you could pick a color and go looking for that. I know many photographer friends go looking for gratitude in the month of November. When your mojo needs a little boost, what helps you get your creative juices going?

These images are so beautiful, Staci. I put on new music very loudly to get my mojo going!
Thank you! Oh, I love that idea!
these greens… I love that you put yourself up to a challenge. Sometimes changing one little thing up, like a lens can shift everything. beautiful…
