Chinese New Year is the most important holiday tradition in China. It marks the first day of the lunar calendar and this year it fell on January 28, initiating the Year of the Rooster.
I had wanted to go to Chinatown in San Francisco this year to take some pics but life got in the way and I never made it. However I did get a chance to go last year (which was the Year of the Monkey) and I wanted to share some images with you of that beautiful celebration and some of its traditions. Kung Hei Fat Choi!
