Why black and white you may ask, when spring has sprung and moved into summer, with all the bright and saturated colours that entails?
Because of the pure, rich light. And the shapes and textures that speak of summer. And because there are rainy days too, which are grey yet warm and pleasant with the air smelling of wet soil.
(This may seem an odd choice of subject, but I wanted to remember the rainy morning when the boy insisted on “measuring the water” using this stick in each and every puddle on our way to kindergarten.)

I love black and white. Summer can sometimes be almost too colorful. Black and white lets the details and light shine.
