“We believe in pulling the car over to capture the view.” — From the Viewfinders manifesto
Here are several instances over the last few months when I’ve “pulled over” to capture the view.
I found some lovely light while walking in the woods of Vermont…
…and I found a lot of joy while walking in the woods with my nephew.
Am I the only one who loves to photograph that hotel room light? This one was in Minneapolis.
I marveled at the gorgeous gem that is the Fisher building. Do yourself a favor and go on the free walking tour when next you’re in Detroit.
It always seems like another world above the clouds.
Then I glimpsed the light one evening and walked outside to a world bathed in a wondrous orange glow.
As always, eyes wide open!

Yes, to pulling the car over to capture the beauty! I love this series, a slice from your life, with views that remind me why I love photography and even more importantly, why the pulling over is worth it. And – yes, that hotel light! Lovely and lonely, thoughtful, hopeful and forlorn – all at the same time.
Thanks, Donna. Such a perfect description of that special hotel “thing.” I couldn’t find the words 🙂
A beautiful reminder that I don’t pull over nearly enough. Thank you!
Thanks, Cathy.
I’m no longer positive where you’re getting your info, however
good topic. I must spend some time learning more or working out more.
Thank you for wonderful info I used to be in search of this info for my mission.
