Have you ever noticed how much the view changes day to day, hour by hour, from the same vantage point?

We recently took our kids on a cruise ship and one of my favorite things about the boat was the view from our room.

As we sailed along, I enjoyed watching the light change on the clouds and the blurry reflections that shifted with the movement of the waves.

It’s a simple thing, photographing the view, but it allowed me a few minutes of calm during a trip where we were trying to pack in as much as possible.

I loved seeing the churning ocean froth as our ship plowed through the water.

It was just the break I needed in between shows and excursions, meals and kid activities on the boat.

I hope that you can have a moment of pause to appreciate the beauty in your own surroundings, too, regardless of what else is going on around you.
