I’ve been going on a LOT of walks during the last few months, and often my camera is my only companion. I venture out, in hope, excited to see what I will see.

There has certainly been a lot to occupy the mind lately, and walking is a good way to sort through it. But I have also been grateful for the use of my camera as a tool for attention and creativity. It has given me an excuse to stop and look.

This practice has become a type of meditation, a way to engage with the world around me, to connect to Beauty. It reminds me of the importance of simply looking.
