Remember January? It was just seven months ago, and yet it feels like a lifetime ago. Accounting for the time this year is an interesting exercise. But then this year has been….well, you know.
Anyway, back to January. Back then I attended a conference in Honolulu, and finally experienced the sheer beauty of Hawaii. Join me as I time-and-place-travel back to Honolulu in January, to share some of what my eyes and heart took in.
I wandered a lot, getting lost in the bustling city of Honolulu. So much good food! Interestingly, some of the city reminded me of my hometown of Enugu, Nigeria, even though I was practically a world away.
We hiked up and up in order to take in as much of the stunning scenery as possible.
Each sunset was like a public performance, as people would find the best vantage point, settle in, and watch as the golden light fell on the water and on us.
Meditating on various forms of Beauty (in relationships, in nature, in my neighborhood, etc) has sustained me over the last few months. Here’s to more Beauty wherever and whenever we happen to be!
