Out into the world. Away from the city. Into more natural surroundings. For the first time this year, we are on vacation and it’s feeling rather “normal”. We’re taking walks with the dogs, while passing “rhodies” the size of a small house!
The dogs are together. The sun made a visit. We cooked steaks on the grill.
We’ve even gone for a drink and a swim. Don’t let that water fool you, this is polar bear swimming at it’s best. Brrrrrr!!!!
We’ve spent time indoors keeping warm while it rained, and out with the clouds when it stopped.
And then there was this!
She followed us for several minutes looking us right in the eye. We’ve never seen a duck act this way! She flew onto the boat three times! “It must be Nanna coming to say ‘Hello'” I told my mom.
So all in all, I’d say mission “vacation” accomplished. The lake house is open, everything’s clean, the garden’s been tidied. Now it’s time for one last night to enjoy before heading home, and luckily for me, I can revisit my memories since I had my iPhone in my pocket the entire time.
Until next time,

Gorgeous views! And that duck!! It’s not just the photo subjects that speak to me . . . it’s all those vibrant colors and intimate glimpses of a return to vacations. So beautiful.
Thank you Donna! It has been so nice to get away from the city and into the colors of nature!
