This week I messed up my dates for a November post and it left me scrambling a bit to put something together. I know I really should make an effort to not always leave things to the last minute, but it’s a struggle and I have done this for as long as I can remember.
I decided to dust off my Polaroid 250 and crack open one of my last two packs of FujiFilm Instant black & white film. I loved shooting with my Land Camera, but then Fuji decided to stop manufacturing the film packs and the camera sat on a shelf.
The film, FP-3000, expired in June 2015 and I really wasn’t sure the photos would come out alright. Yesterday was a beautiful, sunny and abnormally warm day in Toronto and I loaded the film and went for a pumpkin spice latte and some grocery shopping in our neighbourhood, with the Polaroid around my neck. The camera usually attracts a lot of attention (those bellows get noticed), as people are surprised to see anyone using something so “old” and a few people asked questions. It was a lot of fun and I was pleased to see the photos turned out alright.
So, after my last post here, where I took you on an autumn walk around my neighbourhood, here is that same neighbourhood, in black & white instant Polaroid shots.
I hope you’re all finding a little bit of sunshine in this otherwise rather gloomy month of November.

Feeling the joy 🥹❤️
These are so timeless. And I do love the odd light leak too.
