October moments

Usually I post photos with a theme, but life has been pretty wild lately, so I decided to share my favorite photos that I took in the month of October.

Below are a few of my favorite things: autumn morning light, my Japanese maple tree and a gorgeous spider web.

This is my cat, Callie. My baby, my cat/dog, the coolest furry companion I have ever had. She loves boxes. The smaller, the better. Bonus if they have tissue paper in them. She sat in this box for over 3 hours.

This was on the college campus that I work at – UC Santa Cruz. It overlooks the Monterey Bay and our students definitely appreciate and embrace the view.

This was also on campus. In an amazing studio that our MFA students create beautiful and inspiring art in.

This was a high school Senior session. This red headed beauty was the sister of one of my daughter’s friends and I have known her since she was a baby, so it was cool to capture her all grown up on the verge of college.

This is at our Seymour Discovery Center. When I go to any aquarium, the jellies are always my favorite.

And my other kitty, Coco, who is shy and timid and the sweetest and cutest thing ever.

I am not a big Halloween fan but went to visit a neighborhood in my town that goes all out and I was blown away by the decorations and love the fabric and bokeh here.

Loving life and capturing it all,

Carolyn
