A few weeks ago, on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, I souped some Polaroids. After they dried, I left them out on my art table and have been thinking about them ever since. I love the white puffy clouds against the blue skies mixed in with the vivid colors from the soup. This past week I decided to explore some other ideas. I began with cutting a couple of Polaroids. Next, I grabbed a bag of cotton filling and started to play.

I twisted and pulled cotton while adding it to the Polaroids. Little puffs of white moving across the Polaroids like clouds moving through the sky.

Next I started twirling the cotton and adding it to the cracks in the Polaroid; a little whisp of a cloud leaving the frame.

I imagined the clouds moving between the frames.

Next I grabbed yarn and white tissue paper and explored a few other ideas.

I added water to the tissue paper.

I’ve had so much fun exploring with Polaroids this week! Come join me!
