We believe in guidelines, not rules: “Rule of thirds”. “Lens flare is bad”. … We’re all about opinions and advice about making great images, but hard and fast rules? Not our style.

We believe that the beauty of photography can be found in the practice AND in the result.

We believe that the best camera is the one that feels right in your hands as you make the photograph.

We believe that making mistakes is essential on the road to making great images: We aim to inspire here with beautiful images but we’re not afraid to share our struggles and missteps and the learnings that came from them.
