I see poetry in transitional public spaces, especially when the light and shadow cooperate.

It’s easy to take the storefront on the corner, or the underpass for granted as you go about your way. In time the buildings, alleys and structures that define our physical world recede from view and become the visual static of our days – just stuff that people filter out as they focus on the business of getting to their destinations.

But just because places are frequently overlooked, doesn’t mean they don’t have stories to tell.

I do my best to listen, and I try to translate their whispers into pictures.
