Words – so innocent and powerless as they are, as standing in a dictionary, how potent for good and evil they become in the hands of one who knows how to combine them.
~Nathaniel Hawthorne
While out on a photo walk with my husband, I found myself drawn to the words that were decorating the walls, streets, and windows. I started snapping away.
Some words were encouraging.
Some words were discouraging.
Some were crass.
Some were enlightening.
Some were all of these things all at once.
Words are singularly the most powerful force available to humanity. We can choose to use this force constructively with words of encouragement, or destructively using words of despair. Words have energy and power with the ability to help, to heal, to hinder, to hurt, to harm, to humiliate and to humble.
~Yehuda Berg
