We recently went on a family vacation to Italy. We went to celebrate my upcoming 50th birthday. Before leaving, Dani’s sweet boyfriend asked if he could propose to her while we were all there. I, of course, was ecstatic! All my babies in one of my favorite countries and a marriage proposal! Yes, please!
On our first night in Florence, Masud asked Dani to marry him. It was a beautiful moment that I will never forget! For the rest of the trip, Dani was glowing. It was glorious.
We came home and had to plan a wedding quickly. In Masud’s tradition, a wedding must happen soon after the proposal. So this past Saturday, we celebrated the wedding of Dani and Masud in our backyard. It was intimate, beautiful, and full of love.
While I have more film from Italy to share, Dani and Mausd are on my mind this weekend, and I couldn’t pass up an opportunity to have a moment of mommy pride. May you say yes to love this summer… and have a film camera nearby to capture it.
