Our little Great Lakes, Midwest flyover state of Minnesota has been in the news quite a bit lately in all sorts of ways. It’s been painted in many tones, and a good many of them not so terribly flatteringly. But I want to take a second to paint the North Star state with the palette that I see most often and love so very dearly.

What strikes me with your images here is how BIG the sky is in your part of the world. Amazing! Thank you so much for sharing. (Also my dad emigrated to Minnesota back in the 1960s so always interesting to follow images of the area).
I love the sky, the water, the trees, all your images of nature. Being from Minnesota but no longer living there, I love to see images you create and share from there. Creates a feeling of nostalgia for me and feelings of calm. And I agree with Kirstin — the BIG sky! So beautiful!
Beautiful. I love that starry sky image so much… capturing night images is on my to-do list these holidays, I’ve not tried it before.
