I found myself thinking there’s no point in bringing my camera outside now, it’s so dark. Not only does the sun rise and set while I’m at work, but it’s been weeks since we even saw the sun, through those grey, low clouds.
It’s all about balance. On the one hand I believe in following the seasons. Nature has drawn inward now, and I try not to fight it when I find myself doing the same. It’s okay that I don’t exercise as much as I used to, or that I need more alone-time than usual.
Only sometimes I realise that I mustn’t let the darkness take over completely.
I went out last evening, after sunset even, and found far more light – and colour, and bokeh joy! – than expected.
With best wishes for the season, however yours is, from Jenny G.

I love the idea of not letting the dark take over completely. x
