“So much held in a heart in a lifetime. So much held in a heart in a day, an hour, a moment.”

Brian Doyle, One Long River Song

My heart is so very heavy from the weight of the world unraveling. Maybe yours is, too. What to do? We reach out. We withdraw. We check in. We fumble for words. We lose each other and we desperately hope that we can find each other again. We hold space for one another. Talking about photography feels so trivial while the world spins and burns and yet photography is how I make sense of the world. It’s how I connect with the world around me. It’s how I find hope.

“Hope begins in the dark, the stubborn hope that if you just show up and try to do the right thing, the dawn will come. You wait and watch and work; You don’t give up.” Anne Lamott

Holding space.
