This spring I had a recurrence of spine issues that I thought had been fixed with surgery in 2019. The pain kept me from taking my beloved walks down to the ocean and on the trails near our house here on Cape Cod. I was in a sort of mourning for the time in nature, the views out to the bay, and witnessing summer turning to fall.

I had another spine surgery three weeks ago, and I’ve just begun to venture out to see what I had been missing these past 6 months, and to reacquaint myself with my favorite spots. Fall is working its magic here, and the leaves are more brilliant than I can recall them in the last years. Here they are, in all their glory, showing off just for me!
