a visual dictionary

This might be a stretch. Some odd number of years ago, I set out to collect favorite words. I asked my family, my friends, my internet friends, solicited random folks’ favorites, and I compiled a list. I’ll be darned if I could ever manage to put my hands on that again, but it had some gems.

My aim with that list was to take a photo and write a little blurb for each word. I didn’t get very far – good intentions, you know – but there are, to this day, words that I can’t help but associate with particular images, whether they were from that project or not. It’s a little visual dictionary that lives in my head.

silhouette
cigar
bonsai || chartreuse (from the original project)
tintinnabulation (also original project fodder)

pink

All the best,
Alison
