My goodness how the time has flewn.

“How did it get so late so soon?” asked Dr. Seuss. I asked myself the same question earlier this month, when I turned sixty (insert shocked emoji). And how is it fall again, already? Does anyone else feel like this summer was over too quickly, or is it just that time seems to pick up speed as you age? I got sick on my birthday and the only party that happened was, to be honest, a bit of a self-pity party. I am still recovering and have not touched my camera much lately, so I thought I would simply take you along on a walk around my neighbourhood. This neighbourhood, the Beaches, has been mine for the past thirty two years. It’s a really lovely neighbourhood, stretching along the shore of Lake Ontario, at the very east end of Toronto. It feels more like a small town than part of the huge city that is Toronto, with lots of old trees, parks, beaches, and quiet residential streets of old houses. My children grew up and went to school here, it is home and it is where I feel comfortable and part of a community. Over the past thirty two years, I have taken countless photos of it, in all seasons. Here is how we do fall in the Beaches.

I hope you all get to enjoy a beautiful fall.

Valérie
