I took a day of PTO and grabbed my two kiddos to make our mostly-yearly trip to the Minnesota State Fair, the Great-Minnesota-Get-Together. We have a lot of “must do”s on our list for visits. We visit the animal barns, (the chickens are my favorite), the creative activities building – home of all manner of quilt and knit and cookie and woodwork, stop for some “all you can drink milk”, and take ride on the Sky Ride – a gondola of sorts across the fairgrounds.

It’s a place and an experience I love to photograph. One I often wish I had the right time and flexibility to just shoot and shoot and shoot. Not all family visits can make that happen, so I’m always glad when I’m pleased with some of the shots I do manage to grab.

All the best,
Alison

I have never seen an event like this before. Thank you so much for sharing!
Oh man! If you ever happen to find yourself in the Midwest in August (end of for Minnesota), I’m so taking you!
