October Magic

“And all at once, summer collapsed into fall.”

Oscar Wilde

October. The month of beautiful, warm colors, magical light and all the pumpkins you can see! I for one am happy that it’s here! My work schedule is chock-o-block full, but I still have plans to eek the most out of the time I have left to seek light, soak in the colors and fill my viewfinder up with October’s magic.

It’s been raining in Philadelphia for the past several days, which is sure to lead to more brilliant colors. Here are some of my favorite images from past autumn adventures.

“There is no season when such pleasant and sunny spots may be lighted on, and produce so pleasant an effect on the feelings, as now in October.”

Nathaniel Hawthorne

“I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.”

L. M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables
