We just returned from a quick road trip to Chicago to see our son–a rare treat! With two days set aside for travel and only two days for visiting and sightseeing, we had a lot to pack into a short amount of time. As always, the time flew by and we barely scratched the surface of what that city has to offer. As you might imagine, my cameras were always with me and my eyes were open for ways to document our brief stay. And it’s intriguing to see what I’ve captured once I return home. What strikes me is the diversity we experienced in such a short time. From quiet neighborhoods to the beach, trendy restaurants to city skyscrapers, we gained colorful glimpses into life here.I’ll admit that the size of this city and the time it takes to get from place to place is a bit overwhelming to me. It’s definitely worth the effort, though, to have these new and interesting experiences. We managed to squeeze a lot into our two days here! And I know that more adventures await when we return again.

I love seeing the world through your eyes. We haven’t been to Chicago for over 10 years; your images made me want to visit it again. Soon!
Kirstin, we only see tiny bits on our short trips; there’s so much to see and do there!
I love Chicago! Thanks for bringing it some of it back to me. xo
Thanks, Maite! It’s a fun place to roam with a camera (or three).
What a fun adventure! I love the street art!
Staci, street art is my weakness. I love finding and photographing it!
