There’s something about the county fair that seems timeless. The sights, smells, and activities are much the same today as when I was a young girl. Fair food, Midway games with prizes, and classic rides continue to draw young and old out into the summer night.
There’s no lack of color at the fair, and I was instantly drawn to the Midway with its array of carnival games. Remember the fun of trying to win that special prize?
Rubber ducks are still in style, along with fishing games and dart throwing. And after all those games, the bright lights of the rides beckon thrill seekers.
My only regret on this perfect summer evening was not finding my favorite fair food–cotton candy. I suppose there’s always next year!
