My husband and I spent a few days in NYC in late August for our 30th wedding anniversary. I grew up there, we got married and had our children there. We only live two hours away but rarely get back. I wasn’t there to take photos and didn’t want to lug around heavy equipment so I just brought my small camera and a Lensbaby Trio 28 lens. The lens is lightweight but has a quirky type of focus, as you can see in the photos.

That building is where I lived most of the first 30 years of my life! Leaving it was definitely both an ending and a beginning.

I had fun seeing NYC through this lens, but I’m not sure it’s quirkiness is what I want for memory making. What kind of lens do you like to carry when you want something a little more special than your phone but want to keep it lightweight?
