How often do you make a photography plan, only to find that everything you try to accomplish that month, week, or day turns into a disaster? That has been my experience over the past few weeks. I’ve dealt with user error (mine), exhausted developer, unpredictable weather, and unexpected schedule changes.
To keep my sanity, I recharged the batteries in my digital camera and started exploring its multiple exposure capabilities.
It’s Spring in my location, so playing with multiple exposures in October has been a fun way to capture the essence of the season.
Initially, I aimed for minimal scenes that would evoke the charm and beauty of Spring.
But my camera has the capability of combining up to nine images into one so I had to give that a try too.
I love how multiple exposures can turn simple moments into a tapestry of nature.
And how, when combining multiple images with some late afternoon light, the scene undergoes an enchanting transformation.
One day, I visited a local park where I matched a tree that had a bland groundcover with some purple flowers to create small patches of new undergrowth.
And I shot flowers in my backyard at various hours each day.
My favorite photo of the month is one that I took early on, and have not been able to replicate. Its loveliness keeps drawing me back, reminding me of the magic captured in that moment.
I think I’m almost ready to tackle my other photography plan again, but it has been fun taking a little detour and just going with the flow.
Until next time, Jacqui
Always fun to explore! Love that single rose one – nice!
