Last week a friend sent me a cryptic message directing me to this spot. I obeyed, and this is what I found:

Acres of sunflowers that currently being enjoyed by bees, butterflies, and all sorts of other critters. I even had a thrilling encounter with a bear (no photos as I was too stunned)!

What is it about flowers that fills the heart?

I had my digital camera, an instax camera, a polaroid camera, and my phone set to the slow shutter app. But mostly I just tried to absorb the colors and experience the joy.

That’s me not yet realizing I was about to have a bear encounter. A moment later it made itself known before running off into the flowers.

These are glorious! What beauty in a field of sunflowers. Love the double exposure and slow shutter pics, too. And a bear encounter – oh my!
I love all of these- but I especially love that blur!
Oh wow, this is incredible. So, so, beautiful! And soo much yellow! Love that pic of you x
Oh my goodness, how glorious are these! And a real-life bear?! Wow!
As someone who has previously tried (and failed) to photograph sunflowers, these are gorgeous! And I wonder if the bear enjoyed the sunflowers too!
