the beauty of repetition

I’m sure every photographer has embraced classic photography techniques in their early days that stand them in good stead throughout their photography journey: shooting images through windows or natural frames, blur on purpose, bokeh, shooting a theme, shooting from low or high angles, experimenting with black and white, architectural shots, street photography, portraits, nature photography, and so many more. I’ve been looking back in my photo catalog (for those who know me, I’m always trying to organize it!) and found that I’ve always embraced repetition — similar objects or shadows or light displayed in an organized way that immediately catches my eye and begs me to take the shot.

I hope you’ll look for repetition to inspire you. And put a little smile on your face.

See you soon. ~lucy
