We believe that the best camera is the one that feels right in your hands as you make the photograph: instant cameras!

*******

On any given day, my eyes are searching for interesting subjects to photograph. Some days I may find that special “something,” and others not. I’ve learned, though, that having a camera with me–any camera–is essential to capturing those unexpected moments. In recent years, my iPhone has become my number one companion, as it’s uncomplicated to use and always with me. I try to carry along another camera or two as I make my daily journeys around town. Lately my favorites have been my Instax Mini90 and my Polaroid 250 Land camera. But others come in and out of the rotation as well.

How to decide which camera to use? Of course, the camera has to be with me…and from there, the decision is based upon a number of factors. How much time I have, the nature of the subject, the time of day and light available, and location or situation can all dictate which camera finds its way into my hands. I seem to go through phases as to which camera(s) I favor, but the great thing is, they’re all fun to use and each has its strengths. My best advice: don’t leave home without some way to capture the magic around you. Your camera doesn’t need to be expensive or fancy…but it does need to be with you!
