I just recently discovered a new-to-me slide film via my local photo lab, Photoworks SF, called Rollei Digibase CR 200, available in 35mm and 120 format.
The film is warmer in tone than the usual slide film, and it also has a noticeable grain to it, which I really like. Skin tones are a little bit on the yellow/orange side, and while it’s subtle it may not be great for people with olive or darker skin.
I ran a roll of 120 through my Mamiya RZ67 in daylight conditions to see how it would perform. Granted it is only ISO 200, not super fast, but it is perfect for daytime shooting. It does well in open shade and indoors with bright window light, and it excels in bright open sunlight where it has just a hint of yellow, giving it a vintage feel.
This is my very first roll and I look forward to shooting more with this film. I hope you will give it a try too.
