Today I grabbed a pack of expired Polaroid film and a sudden urge to practice some of the very basic elements of design – lines, in particular.

I don’t rightly know what came over me – possibly the feeling that the start of spring is just around the corner.

I had varying success, both in terms of composition and lighting / film development (though I do love me some ghostly spots on my Polaroids), but I enjoyed myself far more behind the camera than I usually do in winter, so that counts as a win.

I’m not a big fan of New Year’s Resolutions, but I think I’ll pick myself a spring resolution to both buy more Polaroids and also to use them before they expire.
