A few months ago, I was finally able to sneak off on a day trip up to the shore of Lake Superior, all by myself. It was something I’d been meaning to do, to just take that bit of time alone in a part of the world that speaks to my soul.

Because, of course, I got a cold, blustery, rainy day with all manner of ice impending. I went anyway. I went and ate at my favorite BBQ restaurant and had one of my favorite beers. I lingered in art galleries and kitchen shops. And as the sun was disappearing, I drove just enough up the coast of the lake to find a spot of nature. A spot where my soul said, “yes.”

All the best,
Alison
I love the mood of your nature pics, so I think the blustery, rainy day might not have been such a bad thing after all š
I love this for you. x
