Black and white winter

Last week I was browsing in the florist’s when I came across a sunlight yellow flower pot. “Aw, that’s really cute”, said the woman behind the counter when I went to pay. No, that’s not cute, I thought, but didn’t say. It’s essential, is what it is, at this time of year, when both the temperatures and surroundings are steely grey, week after week after week.

At least the world right now lends itself well to black and white photography.

  1. Oh Jenny, I can only imagine how cold your winter was this year! And every year you find a way to make it look beautiful, often in black and white. Yep, the yellow flower pot was a winter necessity, cuteness a much-needed side effect of the endless dark and cold.
